According to the judgment released by the Daxing District People's Court of Beijing Municipality, between November 2016 and November 2017, defendant Yan Qing took advantage of his position to accept bribes totaling RMB900,000 in cash from Wang, the legal representative of an aquatic products company, twice in the form of cash.

The reporter reported that the exposure of Yan Qing's bribery behavior stemmed from internal inspections. On December 6, 2018, Yan Qing was seized and arrested by the public security organs.

The Daxing District People's Court held that defendant Yan Qing, as a staff member of the company, took advantage of his position to illegally accept other people's property and property to seek benefits for others, and the amount was relatively large, and his conduct constituted the crime of accepting bribes from non-state employees. The court at first instance convicted Yan Qing of accepting bribes from non-state workers and sentenced him to two years and six months in prison.
After the verdict was pronounced, Yan Qing appealed, which was rejected by the Beijing No. 2 Intermediate People's Court and upheld the original judgment.
